CrystalBridge 1.0

Existing situation

CrystalBridge 1.0 is an intranet application created and maintained by SNP group, used to manage business processes occurring in enterprises. It is used by stakeholders and endclients. When I joined the company, the application already had some style guide, but it needed to be refined and made more precise and ensured that it was used consistently throughout the program.

Major problem

The main problem was the visual inconsistency of the application, caused by unspecified components or an insufficiently detailed description of their use, and the fact that individual parts of the application were created by different teams. There was also a general mess in the arrangement of elements and information architecture.

Process and solution

My task here was to clarify (visually and verbally) the components in the component library and to show examples of their use on mockups. Along with basic user information, I also received guidelines resulting from user research, showing the strengths and weaknesses of the current application, so I knew which places were critical to change. Using the example of dashboards, overview screens and advanced filter views, I provided suggestions for the layout and appearance of individual elements.
